Welcome!
My name is Alice Matagora. I am a wife to RJ, mother to Regi and Clementine, and the Pretty Pup to our Daisy dog. I work in full-time ministry with The Navigators in leader development and released my first book, How to Save the World: Disciplemaking Made Simple, featuring original research from The Barna Group, in August 2022. I am also a licensed marriage and family therapist.
To be honest, I don’t really have a “thing.” I love to eat, but I’m not a foodie by any means. Cooking and baking can be fun, but really, RJ is the cook in our family (I could eat Costco pizza every single day). Can sleep be a thing? Maybe sleep is my thing. I do enjoy dabbling in new trends, but I am for sure not a trendsetter. I enjoy my fair share of nerdery, but there are way more dedicated fans out there. I strive to live holistically, in mind, body, spirit, and soul but I don’t have the bandwidth these days to be a content creator or thought leader.
But…if I did have a thing, it’d be Jesus in real life for real people. Jesus in my real life - from the highest of heights to the deepest dark valleys. Boy do I love Jesus. I love sharing what he is speaking to me in my everyday life with others - in living and leading out of the fullness of who He created me to be, in using everyday, ordinary people for His kingdom purposes, in revealing God’s tender heart for the broken and downcast, in choosing courage in the face of fear, in our role in partnering with God in breaking every yoke of injustice, in choosing radical hope in the midst of unmet longing. And I love testifying about the goodness of God in my life. As such, these are the things that I write and speak about.
Again, welcome! I’m glad you’re here.
